- what were your concrete goals for the week?
- Create animations for the boss
- Visual text for showing if the player hit on beat or not
- what goals were you able to accomplish?
- create animations for the boss(idle, attack, attack1, spell)
- The visual text
- skybox
- scale down the models in blender without breaking the animations
- Get the bounding box so we can now get the actual size of the models
- if the week went differently than you had planned, what were the reasons? note that this happens regularly…I would prefer you to be aggressive in what you want to try to accomplish rather than limit yourself to goals you know you’ll easily achieve. so answering this question is more of a reflection on the development process and the surprises you encounter, it’s not at all an evaluation.
- We’re running into another bug where the HUD elements get messed up randomly. Initially, I thought it only happened on Windows cuz I had never seen that bug. It turned out it also happened on Mac too. It messed up the textures and also the transformations.
- what are your specific goals for the next week?
- visual effect for players attack the boss
- fix the bug
- ending scene
- what did you learn this week, if anything (and did you expect to learn it?)
- I learned blender a lot again. I learned how to scale the armature without breaking the animation. The reason why we got such a huge model from Maximo was because we didn’t bake the transformations after we imported the model to Blender. That’s also the reason why the vertex positions don’t match the size.
- what is your individual morale (which might be different from the
overall group morale)?
- I think we have the basic gameplay of our game so it’s huge W!!!
